Fish that Start with the letter B
Most fish are pretty harmless to us humans, but there’s a few fishy characters under the fish family that start with the letter B that may surprise you.
Of course, a Barracuda would be a pretty freaky thing to encounter, but sometimes it’s the ones you’d least expect that can do the most damage. That’s where the Blowfish comes in.
You may be familiar with the Blowfish (Also known as a Pufferfish) from the silly cartoon series Spongebob Square Pants with the character Mrs. Puff, but here’s a shocking twist you may not have expected.
There is a deadly toxin within the Blowfish, so deadly that there isn’t an antidote that can’t halt it once the toxin has been ingested. How deadly is it? Let’s just say, that one Blowfish has enough of this toxin within it to take out 30 adults. Crazy right! And the Blowfish is still an exotic dish ordered around the world, though it is prepared by professionals who can assure the toxin has been removed. (7)
